Notes: The only version of APPEND known to support this call is the APPEND shipped with Microtek MS-DOS 3.21; MS-DOS 3.30-6.00 APPEND displays "Incorrect APPEND Version" and aborts the caller. Use AX=B704h first, and only call this function if that one is not supported
